Since LMV was founded in 1967, it offered a wide range of services to the building and civil engineering industry in the province of the Free State. As a result of the increased tempo of urbanisation in the province during the middle eighties, the firm has had the opportunity in distinguishing itself by rendering a diverse range of town planning services. Today, a full spectrum of specialized professions such as Civil and Structural Engineers, Project Managers, Town Planners, Surveyors and Technicians are incorporated thus enabling the firm to deliver distinguished services to clients in a variety of fields. LMV is primarily active in the Northern Free State where it is rendering Civil Engineering, Town Planning and Environmental Planning Consulting Services in approximately twenty (20) cities and towns. The firm is also engaged in the Eastern Free State and has of late completed several projects in Lesotho. Services are rendered mostly from the head-office in Kroonstad, as well as from a branch/ satellite office in Cape Town. The variety of towns, in which LMV Incorporated has been functioning, indicates the extent and number of projects duly completed over some time. Unprecedented urbanisation was experienced in the Free State during the past decade. Approximately forty thousand (40 000) new sites have been planned and developed by LMV Incorporated up to 1997. Rapid urban development created a need for urbanized plans and the firm successfully completed similar plans for Kroonstad, Bethlehem and Parys during the past few years. The firm was also responsible for most of the infrastructure services and where required, it furthered the design as well as the installation of mass services. |
